Kingdom Heritage Model School (KHMS), Lokogoma Hosts Colourful 2026 Inter-House Sports Competition

It was a vibrant atmosphere of colour, cheers and healthy competition as Kingdom Heritage Model School (KHMS), Lokogoma successfully held its 2026 Inter-House Sports Competition today 20th February, 2026 bringing together pupils, parents, teachers and well-wishers in a celebration of talent, unity and sportsmanship.

Delivering his word of charge at the event, the Resident Pastor of Living Faith Church, Lokogoma, Pastor Israel Akinsanya, spoke on the theme: “Running with the View of Winning the Race of Life.”

Taking his scriptural text from 1 Corinthians 9:24, he reminded the audience that life itself is a race, and every individual is in this world with a purpose to run and to win.

According to him, the scripture paints a clear picture of the future, stressing that with the Word of God as a guide, believers can be assured of a glorious future. He encouraged pupils and parents alike to live intentionally and strive for excellence so that there will be no regrets tomorrow.

The Pastor concluded by releasing fatherly blessings upon all present, praying for success and a victorious future for the children.

In her opening remarks, the Head Teacher of KHMS, Mrs. Seyi Opeyemi Adeoye, expressed heartfelt appreciation to parents for turning out en masse to support their children.

She encouraged all participants to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship, reminding them that

 “There will be no loser in today’s event.”

She emphasized unity, teamwork and mutual respect as key values the school seeks to instill through sporting activities.

The sports competition featured a wide range of thrilling activities, including:

March Past, Chair Race, Passing Ball, Filling the Bottle, Number Game, Egg and Spoon Race, 100 Metres Race, Thread and Needle Race, Skipping Race, Sack Race, Relay Race.

Parents were not left out, as special male and female parents’ races added excitement and fun to the day’s events.

At the end of the keenly contested competition:

Yellow House emerged Overall 1st Position

Blue House secured 2nd Position

Red House came 3rd Position

Green House finished in 4th Position

The event ended on a high note with cheers, celebrations and renewed commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

The 2026 KHMS Inter-House Sports Competition will certainly remain a memorable day, reinforcing the school’s dedication to holistic education nurturing not just academic excellence but also physical development, character and spiritual growth.
